Mt. Amadablam Expedition, stands with grace and beauty at 6,814m / 22,355 ft high, one of the highest above 6,000 meters peaks, although of lesser heights than other higher mountains, the climb is to its summit leads to high technical challenges and difficulty.

Amadablam means in Sherpa of Tibetan origin “Mother with Jewel Box” certainly if the mountains are looked carefully from its South Western Face, where a chunk of big ice hangs to its neck like a box or a pendant hanging. Most of the interested climbers like Mr. Ray Delaney used South West Ridge of Amadablam with Joe Simpson in April 1990 since then this has been the popular and safe route for the climb. Located around high and scenic Khumbu valley within Everest region, the mountain with many faces where the South West Face looks stunning and beautiful, the North Face from Dingboche looks like any other Himalayan peaks. this wonderful adventure leads past several interesting villages landing at Lukla town on a small aircraft, the Sherpa villages of immense culture and age-old traditional way of life with ancient heritage, where walk leads with the visit of its interesting Buddhist monastery. Soon after colorful Namche Bazaar and scenic Thyangboche Monastery leaving the green vegetation and tree lines behind for complete wilderness in the harmony of pristine nature and high peaks at Amadablam base camp where our adventure begins.After base camp using 3-4 camps to make the climb more accessible and safe with the full support of our expert guides with the team of camping staff serving you with utmost services which help you to climb to the summit of Amadablam with ease but with high technical skill. Pumori 7,161 m / 25,772 ft, including  Amadablam 6,814 m / 22,355 ft, Kangtenga 6,782 m / 22, 380 ft, Thamserku 6,623 m / 21, 855 ft, Kwangde 6,011 m / 19,837 ft, Kusum Kanguru 6,373 m / 21,030 ft and the holy peak Khumbi-la 5,761 m / 19,012 ft and towards world’s 5th highest Mt. Itinerary

  • 1 Arrive in Kathmandu via respective airlines and transfer to hotel.On arrival at Kathmandu international airport you will be well received by Reasonable Treks & Tour staff and guide and then transfer you to your hotels within the hub of Kathmandu city around the most happening and exciting place around Thamel. Evening after checking into your rooms with refreshment our guides will brief regarding Mt. Amadablam Expeditions with welcome dinner in a nice authentic Nepalese restaurant with culture show.
  • 2 In Kathmandu sightseeing tour at places of interest and preparation.Morning after breakfast leave for our exciting cultural and historical tour around Nepal’s best World Heritage Sites which includes old Durbar Square (Palace Courtyard), Old Swayambhunath Stupa and other places of interest with time for trip preparations.
  • 3In kathmandu sight seening Next day relax where our guide and leader will obtain necessary permits and with final preparation for next day expeditions with a flight to Lukla.
  • 4Fly to Lukla 2,830 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m - 04 hrsCatch the early morning scenic flight to Lukla to begin this fabulous adventure to Mt. Amadablam Expeditions, from Lukla town with its unique airstrip walk leads downhill following the Dudh-Kosi River upstream past interesting farm villages of Sherpa to reach at Phakding by the riverside for overnight stop.
  • 5 Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs.Today walk leads to famous Sherpa capitol at Namche Bazaar, as the morning walk follows the rivers crossing bridges and the past Monjo village to enter Sagarmatha National Park (Sagarmatha for Everest in Nepali) soon walk leads past Jorsalle village and then few hours climb with views of Everest and other high peaks as our trek of the day stops at Namche Bazaar for overnights.
  • 6 Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.An important and necessary rest day for acclimatization at Namche with exact height of 3,440 m high before heading higher ground, in Namche filled with banks-stores-shops, restaurants, hotels-lodge and cyber café. Namche Bazaar holds colorful and interesting Saturday market every week.
  • 7Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05hrs.Morning walk on gradual winding trail with more views of Everest and Amadablam entering cool alpine woodland, and in afternoon after lunch few hour climb to reach at scenic Thyangboche Monastery for overnight stop, surrounded with green forest and mountain views with Mt. Everest.
    Here with time to visit its interesting monastery, a popular spot where every year in the month of October and November great colorful festival ‘Mani Rimdu’ is held. at Thyangboche Monastery you can take blessing from the high priest and lama for safe and successful climb.
  • 8Trek to Pangboche 3,900 m - 04hrs. Morning downhill walk for few hours over Imjatse River, after the bridge walk on an open country where tree lines fades for few short juniper and dwarf rhododendron bushes, uphill for a while to reach at Pangboche village at 3,900 meters. Pangboche, the last permanent village here with time to relax and visit its old monastery of Upper Pangboche village with amazing views of Amadablam peak and other close peaks.
  • 9 Trek to Amadablam base camp 4,580 m - 04 hrs.From here our real and true adventure starts with a descend towards Imjatse River after crossing a small wooden bridge, then onward with steep climb for an hour to reach a large grazing field with some Yak herders hut and shades. walk continues for another few hours with gradual up till Amadablam base camp is reached with large grassy field beneath towering Amadablam peak, our camp is set on large wide field.
  • 10 Rest Day at Base Camp preparation for the climbA necessary rest day at base camp for expedition preparation, here one hike to advance camp and other high hills for grand views of beautiful landscapes and mountains or just relax and enjoy the surrounding views in complete serenity.
  • 11 Climbing duration to the summit of Amadablam (12 days to summit).We have allocated maximum of 12 days for summit bid towards majestic Mt. Amadablam, during 12 days where all climbers and staff will be busy reloading and dividing gears for the final ascent to the summit. walk leads following grassy moraine ridges eastwards to a broad saddle with views of Mingbo-La and then heading north to climb a rocky ground and through the ridge boulders beneath Pt.5, 705 which is the site of camp I. Climb on snow and Ice slope to the right following a mix ground to the top of the highest hanging glacier. An ice crest leads to a marvelous position all the way to the summit of Amadablam offering grand vista of surrounding world highest peak with Mt. Everest towards north, after an overwhelming and tough climb descend back safely to base camp using Advance Camp on downhill.
  • 12 At Base Camp clean up the garbage.On this day all climbers and staff, guides should make it to base camp, on this packing all the gears and collecting garbage to carry and dump at designated dumping sites, where SPCC (Sagarmatha Pollution Control) will help you with the garbage, rest of the day busy packing and preparation for the walk back to Lukla.
  • 13Trek to Thyangboche - 05 hrs.After a wonderful experience on the summit of Mt. Amadablam with relaxing time at base camp morning walk leads to Pangboche village and continue walk downhill to the bridge and then back into green vegetation and tree lines, as the walk leads up to Thyangboche Monastery for overnight stop in the comfort of nice and cozy lodge.
  • 14 Trek to Monjo 2,860m - 06 hrs.From Thyangboche an easy descend with a climb after crossing over Imjatse River to reach a gradual winding path to Namche Bazaar, and then with more downhill towards Dudh Kosi river and then enter into Sagarmatha national park entrance and exit gates near Monjo for overnight stop.
  • 15 Trek to Lukla - 05 hrs.Loosing much altitude makes you feel much stronger and fresh, as the morning walk leads back to Lukla from Monjo, our last and final day of trekking, the walk is moderate on gradual path with few ups and down for 6 hours, and then with last climb of 45 minutes to reach at Lukla on completing our wonderful climb on Mt. Everest South Col Expeditions. Here with afternoon free and enjoy the last farewell dinner among your crews and porters before flying back to Kathmandu next early morning.
  • 16 Fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure.After a fabulous time around world’s highest Mt. Everest with a climb on top Amadablam, taking a morning scenic and exciting flight back to Kathmandu, on reaching Kathmandu after a short 30 mins flights, transfer to your hotels with afternoon free at leisure or last day shopping souvenirs and handicrafts.
  • 17 In Kathmandu rest and to submit reports of the climb.We have reserved an extra two days at Kathmandu, in case of flight delay at Lukla due to bad weather, and on this day where our leader and guide will submit actual reports of the climb on Mt. Amadablam Expeditions, on these day one can book for another tours in and around Kathmandu valley.
  • 18 International Departure for Homeward bound.As per your international flight time transfer towards Tribhuvan International Airport for the journey back home or to respective destinations after a super and amazing time in Nepal Himalaya on Mt. Amadablam Expeditions.
