  • 2Drive from Kathmandu (1,324 M) to Besisahar (760 M) By Bus and Then Drive to Chame (2,650 M) By Sharing A Jeep Duration 9 - 10 Hours.Day Two of the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake is your first day of traveling to the Annapurna region. We are in for a long drive, approximately 10 hours if the traffic conditions are good on the highway. Thus, we will begin our road trip early in the morning. The road we will be taking goes up to Manang, but to give our bodies a better chance of acclimatization, it is recommended to start the trek from Chame. But first, we will have to get to Besisahar, change into a local Jeep, and continue the ride. The Paungda Danda Rock is a curved rock face rising 1500 m from the Marshyandi River. From the trails, we also see clear views of Annapurna II in the south and Pisang Peak in the northeast. Then our path descends, taking us to the Manang Valley floor into the Pisang village, where we will spend our night.

  • 4Trek from Pisang (3,260 M) to Manang (3,519 M) Duration: 6 - 7 Hours.After a healthy breakfast, we begin our trek for the day. As we head towards Manang, the weather becomes chilly and dry. However, the views of the exceptional mountains of the Annapurna range, Manang village, Humde village, and Pisang Peak (6091 m) make it all worth it. Before ascending towards Manang, we can also visit the Braka monastery. It is believed Braka Monastery is 900 years old and has been preserving Buddhist tradition and arts since then.

  • 5Acclimatization Rest Day at Manang (3,519 M).We will be acclimatizing on this day. However, we will remain busy throughout the day exploring Manang village. In the morning, we will visit Gangapurna & Ice Lakes, and spend the rest of the day soaking in the magnificent views of Annapurna III, Tilicho, Pisang, and Chulu Peaks. In the afternoon, we may visit the Himalayan Rescue Association in Vraja village, where we will be briefed about acute mountain sickness, its symptoms, and prevention methods.

  • 6Trek from Manang (3,519 M) to Siri Kharka (4060 M) Duration: 4 - 5 Hours.Today we are heading to Siri Kharka via Khangsar village and its last massive village during the trek. The Siri Kharka is a stunning place where is available some local guest houses, and it is surrounded by the Majesty Annapurna Himalayas. The trail passes through beautiful landscapes, the marshyangdi river, Annapurna peaks, and the brilliant Manang valley. It takes a maximum of 4-5 hours.

  • 8Hike to Tilicho Lake (4,919 M) and Back to Tilicho Base Camp (4150 M) Then Trek to Siri Kharka (4060 M) Duration: 5 - 6 Hours. Today we climb higher toward Tilicho Lake, a 5- to 6-hour trek, located at the base of Tilicho Peak (7134 m). Along the trail, you may see yaks and deer grazing. The changing light causes the color of the lake to change through many shades of blue. This lake covers an area of 4.8 sq km. After some time admiring the lake and surrounding peaks and snapping some photos, we will return to Sri Kharka. Today we will stay in Sri Karkha.

  • 9Trek from Siri Kharka (4060 M) to Yak Kharka (4,110 M) Duration: 5 - 6 Hours.We leave Siri Kharka and descend towards Khangsar Village. On the way, we pass Tare Gumba, a thousand-year-old monastery, which is very important to the local people. Upon reaching Khangsar Village, we follow a rock wall out of Khangsar. After crossing Thorang Khola, walk furthermore until reaching Yak Kharka. Today we will stay at Yak Kharka

  • 10Trek from Yak Kharka (4,110 M) to Thorung Phedi (4,600 M) Duration: 4 - 5 Hours.It is an uphill walk to Thorang Phedi. After walking for some time, we cross a suspension bridge and reach Ledar village. We ascend further and pass through towering cliffs before reaching Thorang Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. On this trip, we are rewarded with one of the best views of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak, and Mt. Khatungkan. The word Phedi in Nepalese is referred to as the foot of a mountain.

This Thorong La pass will be our ultimate objective today. We will be crossing the pass from east to west (Manang to Muktinath), which is the easiest and safest direction. Usually, all tourist buses leave at 7:00 am from Pokhara and will stop along the way for lunch and breakfast as well.
